The Chinese dragon ("loong"), symbolizing wisdom, strength, vigor, and majesty, serves as a witness to the profoundness of the Chinese civilization spanning millennia. The image of the dragon has seamlessly integrated into Chinese people's daily life through vibrant artworks, sculptures, ornaments, and cultural products. At the Cultural Space of the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, an exhibition themed around the "Chinese Zodiac Dragon" has garnered widespread attention and enthusiastic responses from various sectors of society. It has become a must-visit hotspot during this year's Spring Festival, offering a vivid portrayal of cultural vitality.

New Artworks on Display at the Cultural Space of Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center
为了回应观众的强烈观展需求，北京市海外文化交流中心文化空间站的吉庆年年——2024全球吉庆生肖设计大赛邀请展将延期至2024年6月10日。展览在原有基础上，引入了更为丰富的名家生肖艺术作品，有韩美林的雕塑作品《中华龙》《长腿随风》，以及美籍华裔艺术家吴信坤的《灵猴呈福》、陈文令的《兔》、王川的《十二生肖》版画、张洺贯的《龙游四海·吉语册》等作品，漂洋过海来自墨西哥艺术家Cristina Pineda团队设计的无毛犬艺术品也在展览中亮相。
To meet the strong demand from visitors, the "Year In Year Out: 2024 Global Zodiac Design Competition Invitational Exhibition" at the Cultural Space of Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center will be extended until June 10, 2024. Building on its original foundation, the exhibition has expanded its collection of zodiac-themed artworks. Highlights include sculptures by Han Meilin titled "Chinese Dragon" and "Long Legs Dancing in the Breeze", along with pieces like "Divine Monkey Presents Blessings" by Chinese-American artist Wu Xinkun, "Rabbit" by Chen Wenling, prints of "Twelve Zodiac Signs" by Wang Chuan, and "Dragon Roaming the Four Seas: A Collection of Good Wishes" by Zhang Mingguan. Additionally, the exhibition features hairless dog artworks designed by the team of Mexican artist Cristina Pineda, who have traveled from overseas to participate.

3月11日，北海公园阐福寺站的吉庆年年——2024全球吉庆生肖设计大赛邀请展顺利闭幕，累计开放54天，共接待观众8.2万人次，是北京市海外文化交流中心在春节期间重点推出的公众文化活动，在皇家园林中呈现一场时尚、艺术、国际化的视觉盛宴，是推动中华优秀传统文化创造性转化、创新性发展，打造高端文旅活动标志性场景的生动实践。
On March 11th, the "Year In Year Out: 2024 Global Zodiac Design Competition Invitational Exhibition" successfully concluded at Chanfu Temple, Beihai Park. Open for a 54 days, it welcomed a total of 82,000 visitors. This event, a highlight of the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center's offerings during the Spring Festival, presented a fashionable, artistic, and internationally appealing visual spectacle within the imperial garden. It represented a vivid effort of promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of China's rich traditional culture, while also establishing iconic scenes for high-end cultural and tourism activities.

（1）展览免费开放，观众可提前3日（含当日）扫码预约或现场预约登记。单日接待人数有限，约满即止。
（2）观众入场前需在前台出示预约信息。未成年人应在监护人陪同下预约参观。
（3）请观众文明观展，请勿触摸展品。
Visitor Guidelines:
(1) Admission to the exhibition is free. Visitors can register by scanning the QR code or registering on-site up to 3 days in advance (including the day of the visit). Daily admission is limited and operates on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
(2) Visitors must present their registration details at the front desk upon entry. Minors must be accompanied by their guardians.
(3) We kindly ask visitors to behave respectfully and refrain from touching the exhibits.
